Philly Cream Cheese Stuffed Meatballs

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a mixing bowl, mix the Philly cream cheese and toasted pine nuts.
  2. Using a teaspoon, make small round balls of the mixture and layer them on a tray. cover the tray and freeze for at least 30 min.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the chopped onions, bread crumbs, minced meat, one egg, dried oregano, the chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into 18 to 20 balls. Set aside.
  5. Remove the frozen cheese balls and press them into the center of the meat balls and seal it completely.
  6. Beat the 2 eggs in a bowl and set aside. One by one, dip in the beaten egg, coating completely and then roll in the bread crumbs, repeat this step twice so they are completely coated.
  7. Heat the cooking oil in a skillet over medium heat. Deep fry the stuffed meat balls until they are browned on all sides and they are cooked through, about 10 to 15 min.
  8. Serve with french fries.
