Philly Dumplings (Katayef)

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Blend all ingredients except the cheese in a blender.
  2. Use the mixture to make same-sized dumplings in a flat pan until the edges of each dumpling turn golden brown.
  3. Remove the dumplings and leave them to cool down.
  4. Press the edges of each piece together in the center.
  5. Put Philly cheese in a funnel, and add some of it in each dumpling.
  6. Place the dumplings in a serving plate and sprinkle crushed pistachio.
  7. To prepare the dumplings syrup, boil the water, then add the sugar.
  8. After 10 minutes, add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice.
  9. After 5 minutes, add the rose water.
  10. After cooling down, pour the sugar syrup on the dumplings.
  11. Serve the dumplings and enjoy the delicious taste.
